Company – About ACK
Founded in 1972 by Mike Akatiff, ACK started as ACK Products Inc., designing high-performance motorcycle racing parts. Just two years later, Pacific Coast Cycle Corporation was launched to serve the growing demand for motorcycle accessories.
In 1987, a breakthrough came with the creation of a low-cost altitude encoder powered by solid-state electronics — a product that marked the company’s entry into aviation. By 1988, ACK Technologies Inc. was officially established, setting its course in the aircraft parts industry.
Today, ACK has proudly produced over 230,000 FAA-approved TSO appliances and holds multiple international certifications, trusted worldwide for quality and reliability.
All ACK aircraft products are manufactured under FAA TSO Authorization (TSOA) and audited by FAA Seattle MIDO. Our facility is fully compliant with FAR Part 21 Subpart O.
ACK Avionics Technologies, Inc., headquartered at 3350 Scott Blvd, Building 15 in Santa Clara, CA, specializes in the design, manufacturing, and support of FAA- and internationally TSO-certified avionics including emergency locator transmitters (ELTs) and altitude encoders.
